TOP Photo Opps in HOUSTON

Have a big celebration coming up and need to know the BEST spots to get pictures in Houston? Or are you visiting from out of town and need the prime Houston picture spots to show off your vacation? Or want to just show off a cute new outfit for your Instagram followers? Well then keep reading! We have come up with a list of the best places to get pictures and I have included addresses below so you will find them easily. Go out and get your best photos. 🙂

Centennial Garden

Yall this place is GORGEOUS! It is perfect to go get a photo shoot at if you are celebrating anything. I actually had V take some maternity photos of me (as you can see here) and this is where I came to take my bridal portraits two years ago. They have gardens, a hill with a waterfall, arches, ponds, and even more. You will fall in love with this place. No matter the occasion, you will find amazing photo opportunities here.

Address: 1500 Hermann Dr, Houston, TX 77004

Also, my bridal picture at Centennial Garden.

Hermann Park

This park is FULL of amazing picture opportunities. It is a huge park (actually a great spot to take the family or friends from out of town also) and has lots of fountains, pillars, a lake, gardens and more. V and I not only took photos here today for our blog, but we also came here for our engagement photos three years ago. We obviously recommend it for you and all your friends!

Address: 6001 Fannin St, Houston, TX 77030

Cloud Column

This incredible sculpture is located at the Glassel School of Art. It reminded me of the famous “bean” sculpture in Chicago, called Cloud Gate. This is just gorgeous! The Glassel School of Art actually has a few sculptures, so after you take pictures with the Cloud Column, walk around and take in the free art. My favorite moment here is when V and I pretended it was our personal mirror to get those perfect mirror selfies in, ha.

Address: 5101 Montrose Blvd, Houston, TX 77006

East Downtown

We say this area because within two blocks there are great opportunities to get some colorful, fun photos! We suggest you start at 8th Wonder Brewery, that is where they have the We ❤ Houston background, the Beatles statues and a couple other photo opps. Then if you want a picture in front of some eccentric junk and a working Ferris Wheel, go to Truck Yard. Then go a couple blocks over to the Graffiti District and you will find so many picture opportunities. These are sure to pop off your walls or Instagram feed. The address I put below is for 8th Wonder, just so you can start over there and make your way around.

Address: 2202 Dallas St, Houston, TX 77003

Buffalo Bayou

BEST VIEW of the Houston skyline is right here!! Seriously it’s perfect for your photos and you get a clear view of the downtown skyline behind you. Buffalo Bayou is a great place people gather to exercise, picnic, bike or just hang out and we definitely suggest you go there! This specific spot is located at Eleanor Tinsley Park. The Bayou is pretty big, so use this or the address below to make sure you aren’t driving around everywhere looking for this immaculate view.

Address: 1800 Allen Pkwy &, Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77019

Waterwall Park

This place is MAGICAL!!! I mean the way the water flows down the wall and surrounds you as you stand in the center is just out of this world. It makes for incredible pictures and I feel like there is just something so cathartic about it! It is located right by the Galleria Mall, so go get your shop on and come out to show off what you got! I think this is my favorite place of them all, just because of how much I love waterfalls and this is our own Houston version of one. You will not regret going here!

Address: 2800 Post Oak Blvd, Houston, TX 77056

I hope you enjoy this blog and get some great inspiration for your upcoming photo shoot! Please comment below if you know of some other great spots to get Houston pictures. Also, tag us on Instagram if you go to these places, I would love to see your pictures! 🙂
